Yoga Basics
Level 1

This slower paced class is perfect for beginners, people recovering from injury and athletes looking to enhance their performance. Yoga Basics will focus on basic mindfulness techniques, safe alignment in poses, and building strength, range of motion and confidence.  Poses will included those on the floor and standing, so ability to get up and down from the floor necessary.  

Yoga for Beginners
Level 1

​Learn pose basics and movement essentials during this gentle class designed for people brand new to Yoga or wanting to refresh basics skills. The goal of these classes is to leave participants with the basic yoga skills to attend all classes offered at The Yoga Space and most other yoga studios. A typical class will include a review of the basic shapes for standing and seated poses, as well as a review of the movement for Sun Salutations. Students will be guided through poses with instruction and modifications provided so the class is accessible to most abilities. This class will involve some up-and-down from sitting to standing but always at a gentle pace.

Candlelight Restorative
Level 1

Candlelight Restorative Yoga is a great way to release and relax and is our most gentle class. Restorative yoga is a practice that is all about slowing down and opening your body through passive stretching. During the long holds of this practice your muscles are allowed to relax deeply. All postures are done on the floor and are held for longer durations with an emphasis on support and comfort. Relaxing breath techniques and meditations can be used. The class uses bolsters, blankets, and blocks to prop students in the passive poses. 

Candlelight
Sound Bath Restorative
Level 1

Candlelight Sound Bath Restorative is just like our Candlelight Restorative Yoga but with the addition of crystal sound bowls played live during class. Crystal bowls are made of quartz and each bowl has a note that coordinates to a chakra.  Sound bowls are thought to synchronize brain wave frequencies that bring you into a meditative state, and bring deep relaxation, ease stress and anxiety, help you sleep better and generally reset your mind and your mood.   Restorative yoga is a practice that is all about slowing down and opening your body through passive stretching. During the long holds of this practice your muscles are allowed to relax deeply. All postures are done on the floor and are held for longer durations with an emphasis on support and comfort. Relaxing breath techniques and meditations can be used. The class uses bolsters, blankets, and blocks to prop students in the passive poses.  *Currently offered once a month*

Chair Yoga
Level 1

Chair Yoga students perform postures and breathing exercises with the aid of a chair. Poses include seated and standing poses and can be modified as needed. Experience the many benefits of yoga without having to get up or down from the floor. Benefits include increased balance, strength, flexibility, range of motion, and stress reduction.

Easy Does It Yoga
Level 1

In this class yogis will review and reinforce basic movements and shapes using a gentle yoga sequence to help relax, stretch, and breathe. A typical class will include a review of the basic shapes for standing and seated poses, as well as a review of the movement for sun salutation A. Students will be guided through poses with instruction and modifications provided so the class is accessible to most abilities. This class will involve some up-and-down from sitting to standing but always at a gentle pace.

Gentle Yoga
Level 1.5

Gentle Yoga focuses on releasing tension, connecting with the breath and helping students gain strength and flexibility. We will incorporate simple flowing sequences to warm up the body, as well as slower paced movements using traditional postures with slight variations to accommodate all levels of yoga students.  This class will have some poses on the floor and standing.  

Breathe & Bend Flow
Level 1-1.5

This class builds on the basics, linking breath and movement together while still offering multiple options and variations so each person can create the level of challenge and ease that is right for them.  A typical class is based on sun salutations, but each class is designed to focus on different areas of the body and mind to keep things fun and creative. Poses from the floor, to standing, to balances are included and thus is not recommended for those currently having mobility challenges. This class is perfect for physically active beginners and those with some yoga experience.

Vinyasa Flow
Level 1.5-2

Our Vinyasa Flow class builds on the basics, linking breath and movement together while still offering multiple options and variations so each person can create the level of challenge and ease that is right for them. While this practice is based on sun salutations and lead students from standing to being on the floor, each class is different, which helps build creativity and keep the muscles active. Poses from the floor, to standing, to balances are included and thus is not recommended for those currently having mobility challenges. This class is perfect for physically active beginners and those with some yoga experience.

Intro to Ashtanga
Level 2

This class will expose new and current yogis to the Ashtanga philosophy and physical practice including breath, bandhas, fundamental poses, sequences, terminology, and concepts. The Ashtanga methodology is based on sun salutations, and leads students from standing to the floor in each class. Students will be guided through poses in the Primary Series with additional instruction and modifications provided so the practice is accessible to most abilities; we do not recommend this class for those currently having mobility challenges. A typical class will include sun salutations, standing poses, seated poses, and floor poses all linked together through breath. This class is perfect for physically active beginners and those with some yoga experience.

Mixed Flow 75
Level 2-2.5

​Mixed Flow 75 is a 75 minute, vinyasa flow style class where the poses are linked together using the breath and flow from one into the next, allowing students a little more time to work on poses and alignment.
Mixed Flow 75 is designed to occasionally challenge students with poses like arm balances, inversions and core work, while still offering multiple options and variations so each person can create the level of challenge and ease that is right for them.  

*We ask that participants be at least 16 years of age to attend a full public class or event. Students between the ages of 16-18 must be accompanied by a participating adult for their first class or event.
